
Kristen Anne Bell (born July 18, 1980)[1] is an American actress and singer. In the beginning of her acting career, she was starring in stage productions while studying at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, she made her Broadway stage debut in the role of Becky Thatcher in the comedy musical The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and also appeared in the Broadway revival of The Crucible the following year. In 2004, she starred in the action-thriller Spartan (2004). The film was also recognized for her performance as Becky Thatcher in The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. In the year following she appeared on Broadway in a revival of the Crucible. In the 2014 film she reprised her character as the title character in the renewal of the show in 2019, she was the main character. While in Veronica Mars, Bell starred in the role of Mary Lane in the musical film Reefer Madness: The Movie Musical (2005), a reprise of the role she been in the New York musical of the same name.Bell was the lead character Elle Bishop in the superhero drama series Heroes from 2007 to 2008. She voiced the titular narrator in the teen drama series Gossip Girl, reprising the role in the 2021 sequel. Bell also played Jeannie van der Hooven the female protagonist on the Showtime comedy series House of Lies. Bell was the main character of Eleanor Shellstrop on the critically highly acclaimed NBC comedy series The Good Place, receiving an Golden Globe Award nomination for her performance. Bell was also the main character on the streaming series The Woman in the house Just across the street from The Girl in the Window.
