Anamaria Marinca bio
Anamaria Marina is a Romanian actress. Her film debut came with Sex Traffic, a Channel 4 film in which she was awarded the British Academy Television Award as the Best Actress. She's fluent in French, German English, and Romanian. Her mother is an accomplished instrument player. The father of the family is an actor and theater professor at one of Romania's leading acting schools. The award was presented to her as the Best Female Actor of the Year in 2000 Award at the young Actor Gala Mangalia. She was honored when the European Film Promotion Board named her an European Shooting Star in 2008. She was a teacher for four year at the University of Fine Arts Music and Drama George Enescu in Iasi. bAnamaria is an Romanian Actress, born 01 April 1978 in Iasi Romania. Anamaria Marinca, an actress with Romanian descendance, made her screen debut on television in the British-Canadian TV film Sex Traffic. She won the British Academy Television Award Best Actress award for her performance in this film. Alongside her impressive performance in her debut movie her character will be remembered for her work in the Romanian Art Film 4 months 3, 2 and 3 days which earned her many prizes, including her the European Film Award of Best Actress from the London Film Critics. Her role in Cristian Mungiu's Romanian art film, 4 luni 3 weeks si 2 zile (4 months, 3 weeks and two days) earned her the Palme d'Or Award at the Cannes Film Festival 2007 and two additional awards: the Cinema Prize for the French National Education System as well as the FIPRESCI Prize. The film also featured her as a character in the Francis Ford Coppola film Youth Without Youth. In 2008 she was a character in the film Yasim anwar in BBC mini-series The Last Enemy. Marinca appeared in Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven and the Romanian drama Boogie. In the feature film Fury (2014), she was Irma, a German woman, who served as Emma's aunt.
