Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Elis Taylor is an American stage and screen actor and producer. Her best-known role is as a film actress for her role in Ray Undercover Brother (Ray Undercover Brother) as well as The Mentalist. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in African-American Studies at Brown University and also a Master of Fine Arts in Acting from the Tisch School for the Arts New York University. Aunjanue L. Ellis is an American actress and producer who is active in the field of theater and film. Her career began as an actor in theater and then went on to play in a variety of television series, including mainstream and independent films. The actress gained fame as Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico as well as on BET's epic series The Book of Negroes for which she won praise from critics but also numerous nods and awards. One of them was the Television Critics Choice Award nomination for Best Actress in a Movie. Her professional acting debut with the character Ariel in The Tempest in 1995. Her stage credits include Broadway productions of Joe's Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. In the film industry, she's best known for performances such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express or The Help. On television her regular role in ABC's police drama series High Incident has earned her accolades.
